\nSummer is the perfect time to keep your four-legged companion both physically and mentally active.<\/p>\n

Here are 10 exercises that will help your dog stay fit and ready for the hunting season:<\/p>\n

  1. Short jogs in the early morning or evening.<\/strong> Avoid the heat of the day \u2014 cooler hours are much safer for your dog.<\/li>\n
  2. Swimming \u2013 the best summer workout!<\/strong> Builds muscles, protects joints, and keeps the dog cool.<\/li>\n
  3. Basic obedience training in the yard.<\/strong> \u201cCome\u201d, \u201cDown\u201d, \u201cFind\u201d \u2013 repeat basic commands playfully and in short bursts.<\/li>\n
  4. Hide-and-seek games in the forest.<\/strong> Hide a treat or toy and let your dog track it down \u2013 it trains the nose, focus, and search instinct.<\/li>\n
  5. Muscle training \u2013 light hill walks.<\/strong> Walking on uneven terrain helps build hind strength and overall muscle tone.<\/li>\n
  6. Tracking trails (1\u20132 km).<\/strong> Lay a short trail in the morning and let your dog follow it later \u2013 great for scent work and patience.<\/li>\n
